Caterpillar Kids is a comic exploring the changes an individual and their family goes through using the lens of magical realism. As the goal of both caterpillars and children is to grow and change, the comic’s narrative uses the nature of sequential images with the concept of the gutter and magical realism. The story confronts and expresses motions that the characters go through as Jonquil transitions. Their family sorts through feelings of loss when their father is returned.
